About Dr Jessica McGrath
Dr Jessica McGrath is one of only two Paediatric Rheumatologists in private practice in Brisbane. She provides specialist care for children and adolescents with a broad range of rheumatological conditions, including Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, uveitis, periodic fever syndromes, and other autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders. She welcomes referrals across the full spectrum of Paediatric Rheumatology.
Jessica completed her specialist training at Monash Children's Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital. She subsequently worked as a Paediatric Rheumatologist at Queensland Children's Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in the assessment and management of complex inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. She also holds admitting rights at Wesley Hospital, allowing her to provide continuity of care for children requiring inpatient management.
Jessica is committed to providing thoughtful, individualised care that recognises the needs of each child and family. She values strong partnerships with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams, and believes that collaborative, coordinated care is central to achieving the best possible outcomes. Her approach combines evidence-based specialist care with a focus on each child's individual circumstances, supporting their health, development and wellbeing over the longer term.
